Horatius carries a wide selection of artisanal cheeses from around the world, from the old world cheeses of Europe to the emerging farmstead cheeses of the United States.

 


Some of our favorites include an aged cheddar from Fiscalini farms, tangy São Jorge from Portugal, named after the volcanic island in the Azores where it has been produced for centuries, and Serra da Estrela, an intense, herbaceous sheep's milk cheese, often served scooped out from the soft middle and spread on hearty peasant bread. A new addition to our selection is Bica, a rich-textured, slightly salty Portuguese cheese made from a blend of sheep, cow and goat's milk.



Other cheeses currently available include: Serra da Gardunha, cow’s milk cheese, soft, complex flavor;
Queijo do Topo is a cows milk cheese, semi-hard, sharp & nutty; and
Queijo de Cabra Curado, this goat cheese has a delicate creamy texture and a mild nutty goaty flavour.
